"Vella was created from a simple idea that a gaming keyboard can look elegant, feel great to type on, and still perform at a competitive level. As someone who plays games regularly and loves custom keyboards, I always felt that most cases were made for either gamers or enthusiasts, but rarely both. I wanted something that could bring those two worlds together.

To make that happen, we had to start with the right foundation. We chose the Venom 60 HE from Geonworks because it is fast, stable, supports multiple layout options, and constantly releases firmware updates based on user feedback. In our view, it is one of the best Hall Effect PCBs available today, and Vella was tailored specifically around it.

Most HE compatible cases on the market are unibody designs limited to WK layouts and use tray mounting, which often leads to a stiff typing experience and less refined acoustics. Vella was designed to address these shortcomings. While it keeps the unibody form for cost efficiency, it features removable blockers that let users choose freely between WK, WKL, or HHKB layouts. It also incorporates carbon fiber accents and a clean, well balanced case design to bring together both aesthetics and performance.

Vella PE, or Performance Edition, is made for users like me, people who care about how their keyboard feels, looks, and responds, and who do not want to sacrifice one aspect for another. For the HE Vella keyboard, we thought we should provide a set of keycaps to purchase along with the kit. While we’re used to custom keyboard buyers already owning keycaps, in the case of HE keyboards, that’s not as common. That’s why we’re introducing KAP VELLA.

This keycap set, with simple and basic colors, is designed to support the various layouts of the VENOM HE PCB, not just the Vella. So it’s actually very useful for any 60% keyboard kit that requires additional keys.
